Anna Silk

Anna Silk is Canadian actress and has gained fame in Canada for the role of Bo. Silk was born in Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. Silk is the daughter of Peter an academic, as well as Ilkay Silk, a prominent actor, director, producer, playwright and Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers watching her mother while at work, and also attending the rehearsals for her plays. Silk produced a number of commercials when she was still a kid. She earned a Bachelors in Arts in the field of theater at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas staged at least two early plays: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk relocated from Toronto in November 1999 to Los Angeles California to pursue her acting career. Seth Cooperman was her future spouse when she first began to meet him in 2007 at an Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. They got married in 2009 and married at a civil wedding ceremony in December of the same year. Following her conversion to Judaism, they renewed their wedding vows at a Jewish ceremony on the 10th of April 2011. The ceremony was held in Fredericton. Silk was blessed with a son who was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13 2013. Levi Aaron, Silk's second son was born in May of 2016. Silk's television work has included her part in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland for which she won a Gemini Awards nod in 2009. She was given the role as Bo Dennis the succubus on the Canadian television series Lost Girl in 2009. Silk became pregnant during filming of season three's finale and announced this to the viewers during Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on the 6th of January, 2013. Silk posted on Twitter on June 20, 2013 that production had begun on Season 4. On 4 June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed the beginning of production for Season 4, which will air in the fourth season. CNN named Bo's portrayal alongside Lauren (Zoie Palermo) in Lost Girl one of the most popular TV couples of all time. E! voted it as top TV couple for 2013. Entertainment Television.
